
The Rev. Jim Liberatore is currently serving as the interim rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. The priesthood is Rev. Jim’s second career. Before entering the priesthood, he was a manager in the mining, heavy construction, and exploration areas of the oil industry in New Mexico, Colorado, and Texas. He is a Professional Engineer in Texas. Jim has served churches in Houston and Baytown, and was a Chaplain at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston. He is President and Co-Founder of Mosaic in Action, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of families through storm recovery, housing rehabilitation, education, and advocacy efforts in order to promote healthy housing and households in Brazoria County, Texas.
Jim has a Bachelor of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Master of Divinity from The Seminary of the Southwest. He has been married to his wife, Christine, for 55 years and has two daughters, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
