Summer is winding down and schools are starting back. It has been an unusual and strained start to the new year, as we’ve faced some of our hardest challenges and losses to date in this community. This is the traditional time of year for our community to welcome our St. Mark’s family to Rally Day – an opportunity to reconnect and get re-engaged with our important ministries. This year, more than ever, we are hoping that Rally Day can serve as a point of connection with one another, a time to rally around our church, our school, and our community to recover and heal from the impacts of Harvey.
At St. Mark’s we manage our faith by aspiring to be an extraordinary Christian family joyfully loving, learning, and serving. This mission is based on our Four Pillars: Worship, Welcome, Service and Formation. Come learn more about the great opportunities that exist for you to become a stronger part of our vibrant community, make friends while serving the Lord together, and contribute your unique talents to our mission.
On Sunday, September 10, please plan to join us in Hauser Hall for Rally Day after the 9 a.m. service. We will have fun activities for the kids in the gym, refreshments and an opportunity to have a conversation and learn more about the meaningful ministries under our Four Pillars. We hope it is a welcome respite from the changes and chances of life, and that you will find hope and comfort in our gathering.
We look forward to seeing you there!
