WELCOME

Welcome to St. Mark’s! We are thrilled that you're interested in learning more about our church. Since 1939, St. Mark’s has ministered to the people of Houston. Located in the West Houston/ Bellaire area, we are a diverse, inclusive community who seeks to love God, and love our neighbors. We hope you’ll join us in worship in one of the four worship services we offer on Sunday—7:45 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., and 5 p.m. If you have any questions about who we are or what we are about, don’t hesitate to call or email our church office.  We look forward to welcoming you into our community.

There were 13 entrants in the Chili Cook-Off on Sunday, October 13.

Competition was friendly but fierce. The chilis were delicious across the board. Second place and a gift certificate was awarded to Grant Ashlin, Brian Young and Jason Berryman for their Three Amigos Chili. First place was awarded to Siubhan Wilkerson with her White Bean Chicken Chili, for which she received a gift certificate and the winner's trophy. Her name, as well as the names of all future winners, will be engraved on the Chili Cook-Off trophy.

Visitors

St. Mark’s is a welcoming community and hopes to connect with each visitor interested in learning more about us.  An easy way to connect with St. Mark's is to simply sign the guest book on Sunday morning, or fill out a Welcome Card located in the pews (which may be placed in the Offering Plate as it passes you during the service.) Or feel free to send an email to our church office.  We look forward to meeting you, and answering any questions you may have about St. Mark’s.

How to become a member

Check out a worship service or other activity, get a visitor packet, and enjoy our community!

Meet

Attend a quarterly Mix 'n Mingle to meet some of our members and other newcomers in a fun and casual atmosphere.

Class

Attend one of our two Foundation Class series during the year to foster relationships and knowledge about Christianity, The Episcopal Church, and our St. Mark's family.

Celebrate

Member

Participation as an affiliate member of St. Mark's can proceed with the top four initiatives, but if you'd like to become a full-fledged Episcopalian the last step is the official membership process. This includes baptism, confirmation, or reception into The Episcopal Church from another (or no) faith tradition, or the transfer of your membership letter from your previous Episcopal Church.
