Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment for your baby or toddler during services and church related events. Trained caregivers staff our nursery and toddler rooms each Sunday. Caregivers help children develop a love for God through praise, prayer, and Bible stories.
The Nursery is in Room C136 for newborn to four years old and is located north of Hauser Hall, near the courtyard. During the school year, it is open from 8:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Beginning on January 7, 2018, we will offer childcare in Margaret’s Parlor during the 5 p.m. service.
Each time you bring your child to the nursery, you will be asked to sign in. If the Nursery staff needs to contact you at any time, a text message will be sent to your cell phone. It will say something like “Please come to the Nursery”. Children are signed in and out by their parents and, for the safety of the child, will only be released to a parent.
Please bring the following items for each visit in a labeled bag.
- 2 Diapers / Pull-Ups as needed
- Bottle / Pacifier / Sippy Cup
- Change of clothing
Babies will be fed pre-measured formula or milk only if it is provided by the parent. Toddlers will be fed a snack (goldfish crackers or animal crackers) and water. Parents may provide a Sippy cup of another beverage if desired. *Circumstances do not allow for any other type of snacks. If your child has any food allergies, please inform the Caregivers and indicate the allergy on the sign-in sheet. Medications cannot be given by our Caregivers.
All caregivers at St. Mark’s have undergone extensive training and background checks. Each of them have taken the Safeguarding God’s Children course. If you have concerns or questions of any kind, you may direct them to Kim Thompson, Director of Ministries.
